Kabar meninggalnya Donny Fattah dikonfirmasi langsung pihak God Bless melalui keterangan resminya di Instgaram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“BERITA DUKA CITA. Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi rojiun. Telah meninggal dunia DONNY FATTAH, bassist, salah seorang pendiri God Bless, saudara kami tercinta, di Rumah Sakit Fatmawati Jakarta, Mohon dimaafkan jika terdapat kesalahan almarhum. Semoga amal dan seluruh kebaikannya diterima di sisiNya,” tulis unggahan @godblessrock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Donny Fattah dikenal luas sebagai sosok penting dalam perkembangan musik rock Indonesia sejak era 1970-an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pria kelahiran Makassar, 24 September 1949 itu mulai terjun ke dunia musik sejak usia remaja pada 1960-an. Ia sempat bermain di beberapa grup musik, salah satunya band Fancy Junior, sebelum akhirnya ikut mendirikan band yang kelak menjadi legenda rock Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pada 1972, bersama Achmad Albar dan beberapa musisi lain, Donny membentuk band bernama Crazy Wheels, yang kemudian berubah menjadi God Bless. Band ini resmi tampil dan dikenal luas sejak konser di Taman Ismail Marzuki pada 5 Mei 1973.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
