Teknologi ini memanfaatkan material kaca sebagai bagian penting dalam proses pengemasan chip.\u00a0Menariknya, kaca tersebut tidak hanya digunakan sebagai carrier sementara saat produksi, tetapi juga menjadi bagian dari substrat akhir dengan struktur tiga lapis yang menyerupai sandwich.<\/p>\n<p>Tujuan tentunya untuk menekan biaya produksi sekaligus meningkatkan performa.\u00a0TSMC disebut menargetkan produksi massal CoPoS pada akhir 2028. Teknologi ini awalnya akan difokuskan untuk chip AI dan komputasi berkinerja tinggi atau High Performance Computing (HPC), segmen yang saat ini mengalami pertumbuhan paling agresif.<\/p>\n<p>Bahkan, NVIDIA dikabarkan sudah menjadi pelanggan pertama yang akan memanfaatkan teknologi tersebut melalui chip AI generasi berikutnya yang memiliki nama sandi Feynman.\u00a0Jika CoPoS benar-benar mampu memberikan kombinasi biaya lebih rendah dan performa lebih tinggi seperti yang dijanjikan, dampaknya bisa sangat besar. Bukan hanya bagi\u00a0 NVIDIA, tetapi juga bagi seluruh industri AI yang terus membutuhkan chip lebih besar, lebih cepat, dan lebih efisien.<\/p>\n<p>Bagi TSMC sendiri, keberhasilan CoPoS berpotensi semakin memperlebar jarak dengan para pesaingnya. Pada saat perusahaan lain masih mengejar proses fabrikasi yang lebih canggih, TSMC juga berusaha memimpin di sisi pengemasan chip, area yang kini semakin krusial untuk menentukan performa sebuah prosesor modern.<\/p>\n<p>Singkatnya, masa depan chip AI mungkin tidak hanya ditentukan oleh transistor yang lebih kecil, tetapi juga oleh cara chip tersebut dikemas.
