CEO Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon, terlihat mengunjungi Korea dan bertemu langsung dengan jajaran eksekutif Samsung. SoC ini berpotensi diproduksi oleh Samsung jika kesepakatan benar-benar tercapai dalam waktu dekat. SoC seperti Snapdragon 820\/821, Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 888, hingga Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, seluruhnya di produksi oleh Samsung. Namun Qualcomm sempat beralih ke TSMC untuk memproduksi varian 8+ Gen 1 dan seterusnya, karena masalah\u00a0efisiensi daya dan panas pada fabrikasi Samsung saat itu.<\/p>\n<p>Kalau kerja sama ini terjadi, Qualcomm akan kembali ke Samsung setelah sempat berpisah pada 2022. Saat itu Qualcomm memilih TSMC karena masalah yield dan suhu yang kurang stabil di lini produksi Samsung. Sekarang situasinya berubah karena Samsung disebut sudah membenahi dua masalah tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Di sisi lain, faktor biaya juga ikut bermain dalam keputusan ini. Harga produksi di TSMC yang terus naik membuat Qualcomm mulai melirik alternatif lain yang lebih kompetitif. Menarik untuk dilihat apakah Snapdragon generasi berikutnya benar-benar akan kembali diproduksi Samsung.
